Cut Comb

Raw honeycomb, straight from the frame

A single 200g piece of golden raw honeycomb, cold-cut from the frame and sealed in its own bush honey. Smaller and more everyday than our full Comb Frame — sized for breakfast rather than the board.

Spoon it onto warm sourdough with whipped ricotta, stir it through porridge off the heat, or drop a cube into a whisky sour as a garnish. The wax is soft, mildly sweet and edible — you eat the whole thing.

Common questions

A few things people ask.

Can you eat the wax on raw honeycomb?
Yes — the wax is soft beeswax, mildly sweet, and entirely edible. It breaks down between your teeth in a few seconds. Eating the whole thing is how raw honeycomb is meant to be served.
How do you eat cut comb?
On warm sourdough with ricotta, stirred through porridge off the heat, on a cheese board, or straight off a teaspoon. Take it out of the fridge an hour ahead so the honey is glossy and pouring.
Does honeycomb go off?
Raw honey doesn't spoil, and the wax around it acts as a natural seal. Keep the jar in a cool, dark cupboard — never the fridge.
