Comb Frame
A whole slab of wild raw honeycomb
A generous 450g slab of capped raw honeycomb, lifted whole from the frame and cradled in its own bush honey. The most theatrical thing we sell, and the easiest to serve — the wax is edible, the honey is already perfectly portioned, and you only need a knife.
Cut a wedge straight down like a slice of cake and lift it onto the board honey-side up. Pairs beautifully with a soft washed-rind, a sharp blue, or an aged cheddar. The wax breaks down in a few seconds between your teeth and leaves a mouthful of raw bush honey behind.

Common questions
A few things people ask.
- Do you eat the wax on raw honeycomb?
- Yes. The wax is soft, mildly sweet and entirely edible — it's just beeswax, the same stuff in your lip balm. It breaks down in a few seconds between your teeth and leaves a mouthful of bush honey behind.
- How do I serve a comb frame on a cheese board?
- Take it out of the fridge an hour ahead. Cut a wedge straight down with a small sharp knife, lift it onto the board honey-side up, and pair with a soft washed-rind, a sharp blue or an aged cheddar.
- How long does raw honeycomb keep?
- Indefinitely in a cool, dark cupboard. Don't refrigerate it — the cold makes the wax brittle and the honey stiff. Raw honey doesn't spoil.
